Becca celebrates 10 years in music with ‘UNVEILING’ album

Ghanaian singer and songwriter Rebecca Acheampong, known on stage as Becca, was full of emotions when she unveiled her latest album to Ghanaians.

The release of her third album, 'UNVEILING' coincides with her 10th year in music and the singer had a lot to be grateful for.

To the pretty singer, surviving and remaining relevant in the Ghanaian and African music industry for a decade is no easy feat and, overwhelmed by the journey so far, she simply broke down during her speech at the album launch last Thursday in Accra.

During the well-attended launch at the Zylofon Media headquarters, the singer acknowledged the support she has received from various personalities during the 10-year-journey.

"This year, a lot of things have changed in my life and a lot of things came when I wasn't expecting them to come. And also, I'm 10 years in the music industry. A lot of people did not get the opportunity to stay in the music industry for 10 years and that I am grateful for…," she said.

The 13-track 'UNVEILING' features collaborations with Mr. Eazi, Patoranking, Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata and Joyce Blessing.
Becca also has Sugar (released in 2007) and 'Time 4 Me' (2013) to her credit.

During the 2017 BET Awards in June this year, Becca, on behalf of Menzgold Ghana Limited and Zylofon Media, presented gold coins, which had the images of Best International Act nominees imprinted on them, to the candidates.

'UNVEILING' went on sale on Friday, August 18 and can purchased on all major music platforms.
