Black SA Girls who Rock

What exactly makes a black girl who rocks? Is it her ambitions, her attitude or her accomplishments?
We asked the question to black female personalities such as Gerry Rantseli, Bonang Matheba, DJ Zinhle, Nomzamo Mbatha, Chriselda Kananda, Zikhona Sodlaka, and actress/dancer Bontle Modiselle. BET Buzz presenters Altovise Lawrence and Tamarsha Khanyile also let us in on their views.
A black girl who rocks is…
“A woman who is unapologetically herself.” Altovise Lawrence.
“The girl who, despite the challenges she’s faced with is able to make it out without having to sacrifice her dignity and pride.” Wits SRC President Nompendulo Mkhatshwa.
“Clear about their goals and is working every day to achieve those goals.” DJ Zinhle.
Watch them all on our “Black Girls Rock – what the stars think” feature on YouTube: http://bit.ly/1RXnWSt. We’ll share one video daily.
