Enhle makes moms-to-be feel like superstars

Enhle Mbali collaborates with top designer on her SE Preggoz new range

Actress and businesswoman, Enhle Mbali Maphumulo has launched her latest range from her successful maternity wear line, SE Preggoz (Simply Enhle Preggoz).

The glamorous event took place in Sandton, Johannesburg. And this time around the renowned actress partnered with top fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee to create garments for pregnant women that will add a little glam to their journey to motherhood.

Speaking to BET Africa at the night of the event, Enhle said she is excited to launch another range to her line and said the idea to create clothing for pregnant women came about when she was pregnant struggling to find something that is comfortable and stylish.

"SE Preggoz started about two and half years ago, it was a niche market for me because I saw when I was pregnant I couldn't find  clothing that was appealing to a young women and so I thought hold on let me do something about it. I had made some sample for myself and it received quite a lot of interest so I decided at that point that this is what exactly God is telling me. I immediately dived into it and it worked out. I'm loving the reception people are giving me and that is why we are here today," Enhle told BET Africa.

Gert said he always knew that the maternity wear market in South Africa was untapped and when Enhle approached him, it was a great opportunity for him to do something different.

"I think it is great to be able to do something so different and make mothers-to-be look great in their nine months. My brand is all about red carpet style and why can't you feel like a superstar when you are creating life inside of you," Gert said.

Enhle who is a mother of two and married to award-winning DJ Black Coffee (Nkosinathi Maphumulo) said her range is inspired by a modern woman who is a dynamic go-getter.

"I'm a true believer in excellence and this for me is a project of excellence, I'm really glad I partnered with Gert as he is one of my favourite designers. SE Preggoz, and this new range specifically, is about ensuring that pregnant women feel goddess-like throughout their pregnancies. Our vision is to help make the journey to motherhood vibrant and stylish, one garment at a time," Enhle added.

The SE Preggoz collaboration range will be available end November 2017 for purchase on online and will be in selected boutiques around Johannesburg.
