Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama has eulogised veteran comedian Bishop Bob Okala who passed away Sunday. The popular Ghanaian comedian collapsed on stage during a performance.

President Mahama told Accra-based 3FM in an interview that the comedian was a close friend, “They took him through many extensive tests and I think he was about to start his treatment but they had asked him to rest. I don’t know what took him to Koforidua but unfortunately, I hear he collapsed on stage and passed away.” The president added “I wish on behalf of all Ghanaians to express our condolences to his family.”
Tributes have been pouring in for the legendary comedian, who died at age 59. The veteran comedian was notorious for wearing a big clock on his wrist during his performances.
