The Ghanaian fashion industry is mourning the passing of model, Jennifer Amegbor-Smith, who was reported to be missing almost a month ago. The model, according to the police, was involved in what could possibly be a hit and run on a highway around the time that she went missing.
According to reports, the model’s parents confirmed an unidentified body at the mortuary as hers after they heard an announcement on the radio. It has emerged the Jennifer was last seen at Bedouin night club in Kasoa with a friend at the outskirts of Accra who left her behind.
Fredrick Awuku, Managing Director of Spice Models told Accra-based Hitz FM that the late model worked with the agency for almost 15 years. He said the last time she worked for the agency was two months ago, “To tell you the truth it’s still a shock. We didn’t expect to wake up to hear such bad news [about] our friend Jennifer,” the devastated Fredrick said.
Fredrick described Jennifer as a “jovial person…very free giving and a free spirited person.” Police investigations are ongoing.
