Lupita Nyong’o dazzles at Queen of Katwe premiere

Lupita Nyong'o was in the country this past weekend to promote her latest effort Queen of Katwe. The movie is a tale of love, resilience, and success. The film is based on the true story of a girl from the streets of Uganda whose world rapidly changes when she's introduced to chess.

Since her 12 Years a Slave debut, Lupita has lead the fashion revolution by adding her African essence to it.

Lupita looked breathtaking in a locally designed Khosi Nkosi Xhosa-inspired gown:
She gave us funky in a multi-coloured Balmain Resort ’17 dress styled with a headwrap. Why is she so perfect?
Another celeb known for her love of African-inspired outfits is Nomzamo who donned in a stunning floral flared print gown with a matching headwrap.
Lupita also rubbed shoulders with the former First Lady of SA Graça Machel who looked graceful in an all-black button down suit.
Queen of Katwe premieres this Friday in South Africa.
