Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner

BET Africa family, lend us your ears

We have a new duo coming to heat up your screens and we want you to be the first to hear about it!

Emmy Award-winning host, entrepreneur, author, and foodie Martha Stewart has teamed up with the baddest in the game. Someone that has been killing it in the rap game for decades and it's none other than Snoop Dogg - to bring you their Potluck dinner.

What's the potluck dinner you ask and why should you care?

Well, the show features the rapper and the domesticated goddess cooking their favourite recipes for their famous guests and a live studio audience. How cool?

Some of these guests include Ice Cube, Seth Rogen, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Naya Rivera, Jason Derulo, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Mike Epps, Kathy Griffin, Robin Thicke, and Bella Thorne.

If you were excited about this then here are 10 reasons why you will love this cooking show and probably tell all your friends and family to watch it.

1. Martha and Snoop are proof that age ain't nothing but a number: They have a 30-year age gap between them. Martha (75) while Snoop is 45. Their on-screen chemistry is proof that friendship transcends age and racial lines.

2. They have more in common: These two have more in common than you might think: solid gold kitchenware, for starters and a whole lot more.

3. The show is a combination of three main things: America's fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity news. You will literally get the best of these three worlds.

4. Dual Kitchen? Yes please: This is not your average cooking show setup, instead it features dual kitchens – one for each and decorated in noticeably unique style. Exciting much?

5. Squad goals: They get on like a house on fire. In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Snoop said about their friendship, "When we come together, it's a natural combination of love, peace, and harmony." All together now aaaah

6.  Banter, banter, banter: Whether it's about Oysters being food only rich people can eat or arguing on whether to use Vodka in their meals. The banter between these two is something to marvel at.

7.  Novelty: I mean where else do you see a 75-year-old white woman who became a billionaire via raffia crafts and Cornish game hens and a black rapper who's been sipping' on gin and juice for more than two decades hitting it off and cooking together? It's pure genius.

8.  Amazing Guests: In this cooking show, you will see celebrities from all walks of life. The likes of rapper Rick Ross, music mogul 50 Cent, plus size model Ashley Graham, Comedian Seth Rogen and many more.

9.Drinks: Yes, ladies and gentlemen you heard right. They have a drink (s)on this show.  Gin, juice, vodka, wine. You name it, they drink it. So, there is no need for you to feel bad the next time you cook and drink

10. Conversation is LIT: This is not your normal "stare at the camera and cook" type of show.

these two delve into a lot of important topics such as special spices to use, family tradition, food that brings nostalgia, different recipes and how to make a classic mojito.

How is that for diversity?

BET family, get ready to break out the gin and juice. It's about to go down!
