Nandi Mngoma’s baby bump steals show at MBFWJ The AFI Fashion week kicked off on Wednesday night at Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton, and Nandi Mngoma’s baby bump stole the show. Debuting her pregnancy on the runway, Nandi showcased her fashion line Colour and received praise from the audience. In June at the BET Awards, Nandi donned one of her own creations, receiving a thumbs up from a US fashion critics and that gave her enough confident in her label. Working with local designer Inga Madyibi, they showcased their creation, and here are some of the few snaps captured by photographer Cedric Nzaka.
Nandi not only showcase her fashion collection, but she also showed her baby bump to the world for the first time. After presenting her collection she walked down the runway proudly revealed her pregnancy.
Nandi got married to long-term boyfriend Zakes Bantwini in a private ceremony in June. For the first time, the AFI Fastrack finalists were paired with a celebrity to create a unique collection. Media personality Minnie Dlamini debuted as a fashion designer last night, partnering with fashion designer Tayla Nguskos. They presented their tennis-inspired collection called Courted.
Other collaborating celebrities included DJ Zinhle and DJ Tira. Zinhle partnered with Chesney Williams and Tira with Buda Malete.
