Ghanaian award winning rapper Okyeame Kwame made history by being the first African musician to perform exclusively for some of US’ biggest media organisations on Tuesday night.
The rapper performed at a closed session for the selected media, including New York Times and Rolling Stone, at the Standard East Village Penthouse in New York.
The event was part of the Annie O Music aimed at connecting and selling Ghanaian and African music to the world. With the support of New York-based Syncros Systems, Okyeame performed some of his hit songs including Anaa, Masan Aba and Faithful.
After the performance, Okyeame Kwame tweeted
