Instagram has been littered with snaps and videos of SA celebs showing off show-stopping gowns, hair and face beats. So, in no particular order here’s a look at the fashion that wowed us.
Winner of the Best International Act: Africa award Black Coffee stunned in this pale blue suit, crisp and leather sneakers that stuck out while his wife Enhle looked like a goddess in a sequined gold wrap dress.
Singer Nandi Mngoma who also made it to E! and Elle USA’s best-dressed list looked like a true African queen in a gown from her newly launched fashion line, Colour. This Xhosa-inspired gown was made by designer Inga Madyibi had all the essence of an award-winning dress with sequins, lace, and a trail to die for. #winning
Reporting for duty in a green suit was Bonang Matheba. Instead of her normal Cinderella gowns she kept things slick and chic in a pantsuit with a peplum effect by New York designer, John Paul Taker.
Nomzamo Mbatha showed off her sexy bod in a bodycon Rohit Ganohi + Rahul Khanna number, complete with Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.
Perhaps not BET Awards-friendly but we definitely dig AKA’s black and grey ensemble which he rocked on the red carpet.
