World, meet BET Sunday

We’ve teamed up with comedy giants Goliath and Goliath to bring you an exclusive unplugged music experience which will be taking place on the 1 May at the The Goliath Comedy Club, in association with Melrose Arch.
BET Music Sunday at Roast Cafe promises an incredible afternoon of live music from homegrown stars Reason and Bombshelter Beast, plus some old-school hip-hop from DJ ID – all topped off with laughter from stand-up geniuses Tol A$$ Mo, Tracey-Lee Oliver and Deep Fried Man.
Taking South African collaborations to the next level is Bombshelter Beast, a group that showcases some of the country’s most colourful and inventive musicians. With frontman platinum-selling rapper Pitch Black Afro backed by some of the best instrumentalists in the business, the band produces a unique South African sound that mixes everything from kwaito to ska, Balkan hip-hop, rock and jazz.
Akio Kawahito, aka internationally recognized US hip-hop DJ and producer, DJ ID released his first single, ‘Brand New’ in 2015. It reached number 1 on some radio stations. SA hip-hop legend, Reason, released his fourth album at the end of 2015 and continues to reign as one of the longest-standing names in the business.
