Nigerian R&B star Banky W has disclosed plans of taking a break from music to concentrate on finding a woman to marry and subsequently building a family. One of Nigeria’s most eligible bachelors revealed his plans in an interview with Channels Television’s Entertainment News.
The ‘Yes/No’ singer said: “Living an artist’s life does not lend itself to (kind of) working on a relationship. It’s tough.” Banky W says, “It’s something that I actively (really) want to do, so after I’m done releasing this music and touring, I want to take some time off. I want to get married first and then have some kids, you know.”
The Empire Mates Entertainment boss, who turned 35 on March 27, earlier this year revealed that he will be releasing three albums before the end of 2016. Reports suggest the three albums comprise of a solo project titled ‘Songs About You’, a joint RnB album with Iyanya and a mixtape with DJ Xclusive.
It is however unclear if he will be taking the break after the release of these albums.
