Ghana to host the 2016 Mercedes Benz Africa Fashion Festival

The weekend of the 26 to 28 of May will be one of glitz and glamour as the Mercedez Benz Africa Fashion Festival takes place in Accra, Ghana.
The emphasis on the 2016 edition is African regality with a reminder that the continent was built on a foundation of royalty.
In addition to a showcase of the most innovative fashion will be catwalk shows, style advice, talks, and even a selection of exclusive pop-up shops from over 50 of the world’s best-loved labels.
Here are some of the designers who will be showcasing at the festival:
South African born Paledi Segapo of Palse Homme. Raised in Soweto, Paledi discovered his love for fashion at a young age. He is also a creative entrepreneur and fashion columnist for various local magazines.
London will be represented by Mary Martin – a self-taught, award winning fashion designer setting fearless trends and taking Africa by storm.
Also showcasing will be Turahirwa Moses under the Label of Moshions. He designs couture inspired by African imprint fabrics and cultures.
